Paddle Manager

For outrigger canoe clubs

Your club, from the morning signup to the start line.

Spend less time organizing and more time on the water. Session signups, crew building, memberships, waivers and your club website, together in one place.

Built with Waikoloa Canoe Club on Hawaiʻi Island.

The live club is Waikoloa Canoe Club’s own site. See what your members and guests would see. While the club sets it up, its sessions, people and pages are placeholder data.

Example session list using fictional sessions.

One place for everything a club does on land.

Paddle Manager grew out of running a real club: who is coming, which canoe they go in, who has paid and who has signed.

  • Organize sessions

    Signups, waitlists and attendance.

  • Build crews

Arrange paddlers into crews using the club’s rules, then adjust seats and print the plan.

  • Keep club administration together

    Memberships, payments and signed waivers.

For paddlers

Members, guests and first-timers

  • Sign up in a tap. One button per session. The waitlist moves up on its own, with an email when a place opens.
  • Join or renew online. Individual, family, junior and social memberships, with partners and children together.
  • Sign waivers on a phone. A typed name and a drawn signature. A parent signs for a minor.
  • Guest paddling, on the club’s terms. A release before the first paddle, a limit on guest sessions, and a fee when nobody is hosting.

For coaches

Session coordinators and steerspeople

  • Crews that follow your rules. Steersperson, stroke, strength, pairings and conflicts, considered before anyone is seated.
  • Run the session. Attendance, no-shows and one message to everyone signed up.
  • Race eligibility. OC6 race signups can be limited to certified paddlers, with deadlines that leave time to train together.

For club administrators

The board and its volunteers

  • Everyone in one list. Members, guests and lapsed members, with ratings, memberships and agreements.
  • Membership by season. Set each year’s prices, see who has paid, record a check payment and keep a rack waiting list.
  • Roles that fit. Administrators, coordinators and a merchandise coordinator each see what they need.

Your club’s website

What the public sees

  • Pages the club edits itself. About, programs, racing and governance, changed without a developer.
  • A calendar to subscribe to. Sessions, races and events in members’ phone calendars.
  • News, conditions and a shop. The newsletter archive, local surf and wind forecasts, and club shirts and hats paid online.

Your members’ information, handled with care.

A club holds people’s addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth and signed releases. Paddle Manager treats them that way.

Sign in by email

Members sign in with a one-time link sent to their email, so there are no passwords to forget or leak. Addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth are shown only to the club’s administrators.

Payments handled by PayPal or Stripe

Members pay on PayPal’s or Stripe’s own secure pages. Paddle Manager does not receive or store card numbers.

Backups and recovery

Encrypted backups and a documented recovery process. Changes to member records, memberships, signups and payments are recorded with who made them.
